I am not looking for a quick fix.
My change in routine/choices/behaviors is not a temporary one.
I am in the process of a life change.
Changing how I view food. Changing how I spend my days. Changing my outlook on life. Being more aware, more in tune, with my body.
And trying to take the best care of it possible.
In the end, I don't give a rats hoo-ha about my weight. The scale, which I struggle with obsessing over, is just a tool. One of many tools. And not a very reliable one at that - I can be improving my health and not lose an ounce and it doesn't mean that I'm not succeeding. I can measure inches (which I did measure my starting ones), I can measure body fat.
What really matters is my health. My well-being. Being around for Olivia for as long as possible. Teaching her healthy habits. Growing old with Mike. Enjoying life.
With all of that off my chest - let me tell you how my week has gone:
Exercise: 4 days this week. Lots of power walking at work and strength training.
Nutrition: Hmm. What to say about nutrition this week. My calories were under on 3 days and over on 1. Fat over on 1 and under on 1. Carbs below on 1. And worst: protein below on 5 out of 7 days. 5 days! Not the healthy way of doing things, that's for sure. Time to get back on the saddle again and be within the ranges for each area EVERY day this week.
Fruit/veggie intake: I had at least 3 servings of fruits/veggies every day, and 2 days I hit my 5.
Water intake: Eight glasses on 5 out of 7 days. I tend to do really well at work, but have trouble drinking enough at home. Will do better!
Starting weight: 219 (December 15, 2011)
Last weeks weight: 208.8
Current weight: 206.5! I have reached my first mini goal of below pre-pregnancy weight which was 207. Next goal: 199 (ONE-derland!)
